Old power house
This is the One Mile Creek power station, which lit Queenstown from 1924 until 1966 and was restored in 2005. You reach it up a short track inland from the Fernhill Road, Glenorchy Road and Lake Esplanade junction, and the Boving pelton wheel that drove its 60 kilowatt generator is still inside, seen through the windows because you cannot go in.
